How does the "/screenshot" prompt work, exactly?

After not being able to play the game properly for quite some time (forced to play on a machine that isn't really up to the task), I have forgotten some things. In this case, I wanted to take a screenshot of my ship. I remembered the "/screenshot" chat prompt, but it seems I am missing something, as I can't find any of the screenshots I tried to make.

You will have to create it if that is the case.

That folder doesn't exist on my end.

I'm using a standard ARC install of Star Trek Online on a Windows 10 PC. For me, the game is contained in a folder called "Star Trek Online_en".

The next sub-folder in line is "Star Trek Online", followed by two more subfolders labelled "Live" and "Playtest".

Unless you spend time on the Tribble Test Server the "Live" folder is where your Holodeck (normal) game and files reside.

Inside my "Live" folder is a "Screenshots" folder.

    YMMV.

I'm glad it worked out. Two more miscellaneous things about the screenshots folder..

Apparently this is where outfits saved in the tailor are stored.

When changing PC's or reinstalling the game consider saving the entire folder as I think the files are stored locally and not necessarily repopulated from the server.

Well, that is exactly how I remembered it to be. But no clue why, but it wasn't there when I looked.
Could this folder be another victim of my upgrading to 11?

On another note... Does this mean that just using "/screenshot" (or "/screenshotjpg") would suffice to create a screenshot, if the folder is where it should be? Or is it necessary to add a filename or something like that to the prompt?

Apparently, this is what happened. adding the missing folder back in did the trick.

As I quickly found out, adding a file name isn't necessary, as the game creates one. But if you want to make sure that you know what you snapped there, you can add a filename which overrides the autogenerated.
The prompt would look like this: "Screenshot filename"

Cheers for helping my old brain remember. :)
