Over the years as cut-scenes have become more and more epic and immersive including your captain and your bridge officers issuing orders and being part of a dynamic scene I noticed that in every cut-scene that the weapons used by my captain and bridge crew always revert to the Elite fleet weapons for the faction to which the character is aligned e.g., Elite Fleet Phaser weapons for Federation characters and though this does match the weapon types used in the games time frame withing Star Trek, 2410, while matching the weapons used by other Starfleet crew, continuing with the Federation example, this change during cut-scenes sort of breaks immersion as the weapons used in the cinematic are not the ones the crew has equipped outside of the cut-scene. This got me wondering if it would be possible to extend the logic that is used to detect the players ship and character elements such as uniforms and also have the weapons used adapt to fit what is equipped on the character and crew?
