Red alert bug

spartan#7466 spartan Member Posts: 13 Arc User
I did a buyout for the Red alert and apparently it glitched and it told me that I didn't complete so I had to complete it again and still didn't get my bonus dilithium I should have gotten more than $11,000 dilithium

There's no buyout to get bonus dilithium.
The buyout simply gives you the T6-X token, Spec Point and Tech Upgrade.
To get bonus dilithium, you need to play the event each day after completion/buyout.

First, there is no need to be hostile. inferiority was trying to help you by explaining how the buyout process works. In this instance he is correct.

When you go to buyout an event like a red alert, what you're buying is the various tokens such as T6-X, Ultimate Tech upgrade, or whatever the reward for that event is. Unless it specifically lists a dilithium payout as part of the reward, if you wish to get bonus dilithium from the event, you must play it each day AFTER you have obtained the main rewards. If for example you bought it out on day one, you can then start earning bonus dilithium from then on. Bonus dilithium is only earned when you continue to run the event each day after you've obtained the rewards.

Since you mentioned GM's I'm assuming you submitted a ticket. If you have the ticket number handy you can PM the ticket number to me and I can try to see if perhaps there was a miscommunication somewhere. However based on the evidence I have in front of me at the moment, I believe it's simply a misunderstanding of how the bonus dilithium works. If you have further evidence to suggest a bug of some kind, by all means please post it and I will make sure the appropriate people see it. Beyond this there isn't much else that can be done with what's here at the moment.

The forum is a public area and as darkbladejk points out, I merely explained how the system works that you're having difficulty with.

The GM's over at Support are wonderful at dealing with Account-based issues, but are not always so well-versed in how the game itself works. We've seen in past threads that the GM's do use the information provided by us, your fellow players, to help diagnose issues.
I provided information, which was verified by darkbladejk. Any GM following your ticket will be able to take that information, verify it, and act accordingly in order to give you the correct solution to your ticket.

I used to work in the Customer Support section for another MMO and although I do not work here, I've developed an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of the game due to almost 14 years of play. I haunt the Support section of the forum because I enjoy helping my fellow players with any issues they may be experiencing.
I saw you were having an issue, and I knew I could provide information that would help. Your response was quite rude, not just to me, but then also toward darkbladejk.

Now, I was able to provide information that could help with your ticket. You were quite impolite in your response but that doesn't matter to me - I have a thick skin.

darkbladejk is in a position to actually help with your ticket but then you were impolite in response there too. You really aren't doing yourself any favours...

First off your initial response didn't help you obviously you don't understand what I'm saying here so I'm going to let the actual game developers handle it this will be my last post responding to this matter

@spartan#7466 , did you actually receive/claim your Ultimate Tech Upgrade/Specialization Point/Experimental Ship Upgrade Token when you did your buyout? The buyout only buys the Ultimate Tech Upgrade/Specialization Point/Experimental Ship Upgrade Token. If you did a buyout of the Red Alert Event, though, then the most Dilithium you could possibly have received was 8000, not 11,000, but even that would have required you to actually run and complete the Event again after the buyout to get any payout of Dilithium. So, I'm trying to understand what the actual problem is that you're having.

Oh. Well, ok. It actually sounds like you are not understanding how the Event buyout works. GMs always tell everyone to file a bug, because that's what they do. They cannot actually help you with game bugs. But this doesn't sound like a bug. This is user error/misunderstanding. Since you don't want to help yourself by answering any questions put to you, then there is no need for this discussion thread. /moved /thread
