question about friendship FDC pets

i watched a review of the ship and something he said about the pets i have a question about . he said he didn't have the right ship to get the higher tier pets. is the friendship one of the ships where you need a different ship to be able to upgrade the pets? if so witch one?

    The Friendship doesn't have any unique hangar pets to my knowledge. Presumable, whomever you're talking about was likely referring to not being able to afford Fleet quality pets yet.

    they have these not sure if they are unique or not 32c. Federation Shuttlecraft

    The Merian and Friendship both use/give access to those 32c shuttles.
