Texas-class Hangar Pets?

I've noticed that some hangar pets are Defiant-class-like escorts, such as the Callisto-class. So why not Texas-class hangar pets next? What do you think?

I think the top of my Frigate pet wishlist is probably the Pilot Escorts. Would love to have some high speed Kortar/Mercury Gunship pets with a short-duration(3~4s) Lock Trajectory and maybe a Microprojectile Barrage Launcher.

That said, my favorite hangar pets are Orion Interceptors; a Squadron variant remains the top of my overall hangar wishlist. (I'd even settle for a quick and dirty Orion Warbarge stuffed into the Infinity box at this point if it gave access to Interceptor Squadrons.)


We'd probably need to see a Lower Decks dedicated carrier to make something like Texas hangar pets a realistic proposition.

I think using defiants or Texas-class ships as alternate wingman mechanic ships would be better. Can they sell a token for maybe just the larger ships to have them as escorts? A Galaxy-class with a pair of Defiant escorts would hit like a truck.
