I have always like those huge flaming space tornadoes. How do you create them? Are they any good?

It's the Plasma Storm Module Universal Console found on the Maquis Raider. You can find the ship in Lobi Store or on the Exchange. Very nice damage and a pull to tuck adds in for destruction.

+ the stealth and damage boost if you have the trait equipped.

    Edit:
Haven't seen an parses lately, but i estimate that the plasma storm unboosted already drops 10-15k DPS
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Badlands Tactics, also from the Maquis Raider

If you have a build in which you prefer not to be targeted, then one can also use the trait from the Shran
    https://sto.fandom.com/wiki/Shran_Light_Pilot_Escort

    Strike from Shadows.

I tend to use them on my (soft skinned) raider builds and i avoid them like the plague on my tank builds.

Considering how often I see it, the Plasma Storm Module with it's +11.3 Exotic Particle Generator, -66.7% Flight Speed in a 3.0 KM range (unsure of the actual pull range), along with Gravity Well, and Neutronic Eddy, AND Electrified Anomalies (and/or the better for everyone Spore-Infused Anomalies) combined to churn everything into space dough for baking asteroid bread... :-D

Add in the things that increase EPG value/damage can turn it into a Monster! Not just for your enemies destruction, but your fellow players eyes, the game engine displaying objects, PC/Video Card taxing and lag!

Examples all listed below are base values non-upgraded, except the % ones are locked in values being exotic consoles or traits. Cap equips are based on UNIQUE consoles, not against each other. All info based off of https://stowiki.net/wiki/Main_Page , specifically https://stowiki.net/wiki/Skill:_Exotic_Particle_Generator ,

    Sci Consoles:
Temporally Shielded Datacore (+20 EPG - Mission "Temporal Reconning" --cap of 1)
Exotic Particle Focusers (+31.9 EPG specifically for the ones focused to such, Fleet Colony World --no equip cap)
Bellium and Pax Particle Generators (DSC Rep, generic + 30 EPG with either Crit Chance or Hull Cap --no equip cap)
Exotic Particle Field Exciter (+30 and with Double the value if Ultra Rare with [EPG] - Crafted --cap of 1)
Advanced Science - Exotic Particle Amplifier (+__modifier; + __% base damage Boff abilities and +__% bonus exotic damage non-Boff --like the tornado-- both based on EPG value up to 500 EPG --Crafted --no equip # cap BUT CANNOT slot Engineering or Tactical Advanced consoles if used)

    Engineering:
Conductive RCS Accelerator (can roll with [EPG] or other Sci stuff, so can buff EPG value +31.9 base -Crafted --Cap of 1)

Universal Consoles (lockbox, unbound till equipped, so can find on exchange usually and are slotable in any console slot so take advantage of that when you can slot 5 Sci consoles and then 3 more Sci in Miracle Worker T6-X2 spare Universal Slots for a total of 8 Sci and whatever amount of Universal):
Temporal Vortex Probe (+19% Exotic Damage --cap of 1)
Delphic Tear Generator (+20% Bonus Exotic Damage --cap of 1)
Constriction Anchor (+25.3% Bonus Exotic Damage --cap of 1)

    Rep Trait:
Quantum Singularity Manipulation (+100 to Science Stats for 8 sec. on Tier 5; +125 on Tier 6)

    Boff Ability:
Emergency Power to Auxiliary (+10 to +20 EPG and +20 to +40 AUX power based on rank; modifiable with DOFFS with various buffs and couple of Starship traits)

    Starship Traits:
Checkmate (+30% Exotic Damage for 15 sec on use of control boff ability)
Weaponized Exotic Particles (+75 Starship EPG during Standard Weapon Firing Modes)
Spore-Infused Anomalies (Electrical and Power drain with your EPG anomalies, no increase in EPG/Bonus values; and it's easier on the eyes than one of the shittiest eye/ear sore in the game below)
Electrified Anomalies (doesn't directly increase your EPG, unless you have the Personal Trait from the Nukara Rep Auxiliary Power Configuration - Offense which increases damage on Aux Power increase, when 5 KM distance to it you get bonus power while it damages enemies. Plus, it makes an annoying noise, flashing as it pulses erratically too fast, and may cause someone to have a seizure!)

    HAVE FUN!

A science focused build as described above is one of the options, but the console is potent enough to use it outside of science builds.

It can be used as a stand-alone damage dealer without any further investment, as a EPG heavy science build OR as a facilitator for stealthy/evasive builds focused on the unholy trinity of Plamsa Console/Badland Tactics and Strike from Shadows.

If you have access to the console then test out each to see which build suits your play style best.

    Annoying.

I agree, and my main flies an EPG build. the plasma storm, the annoying green electricity won't be in my build, even if they put me from 30K to 130K dps
