    Or include a new type of vanity shield like energy weapon vanity shields. Add series specific phaser or faction vanity weapons. Wrath of Kahn phasers would be fun to add to the Connies, Excelsior and Miranda class ships.

    I would like to see more engine and deflector effects. And maybe physical parts like those from the old Borg sets, but then something new instead.

    Most vanity shields tend to remove most of the details on a ship, turning them into something that looks more like a plastic toy than without the shield. Only a few are worth getting imo, and only for toons that are flying non-faction specific ship like a Briostrys, which generally come with very few hull and pattern options.

    No offence to those who designed them - it's not that the shields are badly designed, the ships just look so much better without them as they retain many more of their details. Also, the many recent revamps and additions of new hull materials has greatly improved textures and visuals on most ships.
