I have too many ships already. Don't see the point of getting more, as it will only result in even more of my already-owned ships not getting used.
We need something that allows us to better use our ships, or even use more ships, more often at the same time.
Why not, for example, create a distress beacon that can be customised to include player-owned ships, including their player-given name? Or even something similar to the Reputation flourish ability - but for space - where you can instead show off some of the ships you own through a temporal warp-in?
It doesn't have to last long, they don't need combat capabilities - just some stuff that enables players to use a larger number of ships.
What I don't find promising is Cryptic's trend to sell bundles then a couple of months later nerf one of the priority ships &/or items in it like this latest example of that Maelstrom Torpedo.
With me stating that though I recognize there might be a sound argument for the nerfing.
It has to be one of the most difficult things to do balancing such an in-depth widespread game.
But it does send a possible message not to buy anything new till a few months have passed.
