Advanced consoles and bellum tactical consoles?

As the title suggest, I'm interested in running the bellum tac consoles with the new advanced eng/sci consoles.
I know that we don't even have the new consoles in game yet, as i write this post, but this is better asked sooner, than later, because it involves alot of resource investment.
Will they be able to work together? I know, this is a question for a DEV, but if anyone has any info... would be nice to get a heads up. Also if they DO work together - do they work together because bellum tac were found to be inferior to spire tac consoles? And not just an oversight, which will eventualy cause bellum consoles to be incompatible with the new consoles?
