Is Picard coming to the game?

I finally made a Picard character and was in character creator to make him. The second head choice has changed and now has a very Picard nose and head style... I think in the past they have done these things to actually make the base model of an upcoming character (just slapping their own texture over it to fill in the blanks though).

Season 3 is set in 2401, so ten years prior to the current timeline, so it depends if he dies or not, as the season is not over yet. We could also now get Data. However, the chances are also dependant on the actors themselves, neither are 'cheap'.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

From what I've heard Cryptic could afford Patrick Steward it's just a case that he's so expensive they'd want him in major role if they did get him.

How I wish they got Picard in the game before the new series, not really fond of what they did to the character however STO is being considered a different timeline so maybe he's not changed in this one.
I stream on Twitch, look for Avoozl_

    I hope not.

I'd rather the focus be on a kind of game development that increases the lifespan of the game rather than stunt casting.

Indeed, Star Trek Online has the potential to be a major part of the franchise if they learn from the mistakes of other entries in the franchise (games, movies, and series), and their own mistakes as well.

You mean the whole robotic body thing or the fact they gave him some strange disease?

He got the strange disease in TNG. In PIC they revealed that he didn't have the strange disease, just a little biological contaminant left over from his assimilation that had similar symptoms.

And now I've got Red Hot Chili Peppers stuck in my head.

From what I gathered Picard did have a form of the disease prior to TNG (in the timeline) but it got cured and it seem to get reintroduced later (which turned out to be the Borg stuff), though I could be mistaken as it's been a while since I last saw the TNG finale where that was introduced.

In the 2 Part TNG Series finale All Good Things, in the future timeline (25+ years from TNG S7) Jean Luc Picard had advanced Irumodic Syndrome. In the episode's 'present' timeline after Picard related that to Dr. Crusher, she did a scan and said she found a genetic marker that she said could lead to the development of Irumodic Syndrome sometime in the future; but it wasn't 100% guaranteed to happen. <--- That was about it. All mentions of it prior to the P+ PICARD series were all made in the TNG S7 finale.

It would be interesting to see Jack in STO or a different Locutus given where STO are heading story wise

Picard changed so much of the STO timeline, half the game needs replacing.

The Federation Tutorial has been written off.
The Klingon War is written off.
Klingon tutorial and early missions are a write off.
Legacy of Romulus is on very shaky ground.
Delta Rising is a write off.
The Borg faction is a write off.
Odyssey class (and its variants) relegated to obscurity.
Captain Shon, Enterprise-F are a written off.

there is more but STO is looking decided suspect right now. If Cryptic want to maintain their close approach to canon with STO, they got to get their skates on and put in the effort, otherwise admit defeat and call it out as an alternate timeline and save themselves a lot of money and trouble.

      T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW.
Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.

Kael has already come on the forum and said that STO is now its own thing. Check out the thread sometime. 😉

There's literally no point since the finale screwed everything up, but at least Q is back so there's that.
