Whos to say there not already here and smart enough to know NOT to land on this planet cause of the paranoia that would exist if they did choose to land.
Fortunately, if you do live long enough to witness their arrival, it means you're officially part of the world of Star Trek. Which means you can expect to live another 30 years or so after that.
I believe the average human livespan is 120?
And of course you could, by then, ask for their secrets and add another 80 years or so.
wonder why i was never able to get into this event?????
Because the EVENT hasn't started yet. It starts on April 12th in-game.

Vulcans land on their ship, the docking port opens and the walkway drops to the ground.
The Vulcans step out as Cochrane walks over to introduce himself.
The Vulcan undercovers his head as the people of Montana gasp and look on nervously.
The Vulcan raises his hand and separates two groups of fingers and his thumb.
Warmly the Vulcan says: "Live long and prosper."
Cochrane raises his right hand and attempts to separate his fingers without success.
Cochrane instead offers his right hand out as the Vulcan decides to follow the example with his right hand as the two shake hands.
Cochrane warmly responds: "Thanks."
The Vulcan looks at Cochrane, slightly nods with a sense of respect.
The people of Montana and the Vulcans walk over to the local bar.
The Vulcans sit down and take down a local drink as Cochrane smacks his jukebox into life.
Alarmed by the sudden noise, the Vulcans stand up only for Cochrane to help them realise it's a celebration of first contact.
Too bad First Contact doesn't happen at Montana on Earth, we get to see the statue of Cochrane in all its glory surrounded by woodland and the bar itself along with a few other isolated buildings. It would also be especially memorable to have the statue of Spock there as well or even Surak just to commemorate the whole start of a galactic community lead United Federation of Planets.
T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW. Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.

You'd probably ask putin about that as he's the one trying to start it atm, current events aside, I'd be 80 during First Contact day
