Great thread, agree with all of it. Shuttle missions, fun. The foundry, some really good star trek stories. Trekkies really could pour on the lore and knowledge. Gosh the time they put in to make those missions. There was alot of story arc missions there as well, like 4,5, and 6 episode long series.
I do miss memory alpha, I don't miss the original crafting system. It always felt nostalgic going there, i suppose it was just the atmosphere of the place. I remember feeling overwhelmed (in a good way) whenever i was in sector space. So much to do so many players buzzing around, so many comments and pm's just going to an fro. I do member getting pawned alot by klingons. I learned to hate the borg and still enjoy murdering as many as i can. Somehow it got personal with those guys lol.
I definitely miss the team work and camaraderie. I remember being new and other players keeping me in the fight every stf (what was it called before stf's, i cannie member). I member the Galaxy class actually tanking, lol. I kind of miss having crews on your ship, felt like you had your crew to think of in a fight. Wasn't a great system, just neat seeing how many were and weren't knocked out after a wcb, and i didn't hit brace for impact, lol.
I do miss the days of co-op missions taking some team work and some time to complete, and not a race of who can wipe the map fastest. I also miss the visuals then, much simpler, and less pronounced abilities. I know alot of new things have been introduced, and that's fine, but why does it have to be soooo over exaggerated, soooo loud, soooo annoying, sooo blinding, and really not make any sense to begin with. The only thing louder and more obnoxious than sto vfx is a 16 year old girl! (i think that's a south park reference lol) How is that cool? Is that the perception of star trek, space magic? The shows always tried to make sense of scientific theory, not just conjure up and pull a giant laser turret out of your pocket, or call in a genesis planet to help them fight the jem hadar or klingons.
Anyway, enjoyed reading the thread an putting in my worthless two cents.
I DON'T miss the old First City. that was a PITA to get around. the current one is not much better but at least you don't have the staircase maze thing to get to the leadership
The one thing I miss about the Klingon 1st City is when they first released the updated zone; from a distance all the sign 'letters' were Klingon symbols, and then when you were close enough, they turned into 'proper' English.
^^^
They got rid of that function in a later patch and now just have all the Klingon signs in English.

I wonder if your native language was German (I think they had a German language port) if the signs were in that language

I encourage you to provide as many video clips and screen captures as you can to the VFX Issues thread stickied on the forums here. The more attention drawn to the topic, the better and the better our chances at getting a solution to this issue.
Sorry, but I tend to disagree. there has been a LOT of new VFX introduced since the thread was started. their research is More Teeth Apologies to Jurassic World. I am 100% convinced the devs `1. don't look at the forums, 2. ignore the Mods who bring stuff to them, 3. really don't care. I doubt any of them even play outside of a test environment

Well, I can 100% deny all of that.
