Does Unified Engineering work on pets?

i was wondering if the Unified Engineering trait also works on pets?

    "To Team" abilities should affect hangar and most console pets, but I don't have the Trait to confirm.

    Team abilities are very hit and miss some work on pets and some do not. I have been told it works on pets but when I tested it I couldn't find an accurate way to test if it was working or not. I did some runs with and without Unified Engineering and did not notice any difference in pet output. My feeling is it either doesn't work or its a minor buff but I don't feel confident about my results.
