Intelligence specialization

If you change an upgraded BOFF from tactical to intelligence specialization, is there an intelligence kit frame that you can equip, or do you stick with their tactical frame? If there are intelligence kit frames, how do you acquire them? Thanks in advance.

You don't change their spec, you just add an additional spec. They are still a tac and can use all of their existing tac skills.

You might do a search on "sto best kit frame tactical" and see what people say. A kit frame can buff the same things for all powers -- kit readiness, kit performance apply to both tac and intel.

Thank you. But can you then mix skills (e.g., for ground skills, two tac and two intel)?

Yes, each of the 4 slots can be any power.

It's only for ships where the ship controls what specialization and what rank you can use. You can have any boff learn any specialization for ground use, and mix and match their main and specialization powers any way you want.
