why cant we have the same ship name for more than 1 ship???

in Controls and User Interface
They call the uss enterprise the same name for how many variants???? I want 2 do the same thing I want 2 add A , B, C, ...etc I want 2 use the same ship name but it keeps telling me that "i already have a ship with that name." So what!!!! Let me name my ships what I want 2 same name or whatever!!!!! I want 2 add A, B C, ...etc

    I'm confused. You can add -A -B -C etc to ship names

    it will still say "u already have a ship or bridge officer by that name" ... I'm not changing a bridge officer name.

    It says Bridge officer by default. But let's say you have a ship called USS Squid, you can have USS Squid-A I have a ship name that is an anagram of my two best friends (Chrand) and have -A -B and -C of the same ship name.
