Notice before a Sales starts

Sorry if this the wrong place for this but I was not sure where I should post it.

I've been playing for couple of months now and Ive noticed that STO sales events are given very limited notices as when they occur... Case and point the Infinite DOFF and R&D being both available and on sale everyone found when the sale was actually happening when it had already commenced and only for a very limited. Given those on limited income zero chance to actually benefit from the sale. The best response would be say a week's notice of the sale before the sale starts
