Race and Mission ideas

So I have been rewatching some old Trek shows while waiting for more SNW and Discovery. I recently watched an episode of Voyager that has a very open ending The 37. In the episode they mention a race called the Briori that kidnapped about 300 people and brought them to this class L world as slaves. The humans there grew too numerous and overthrew the Briori who fled. Having a mission in the delta quadrant to go back check on those people who were obviously afraid of them returning. They could invade or even steal people and we have to go hunt them down to rescue the people that were taken. It may be a chance to allow STO creators to get creative with design and touch on the UFO's seen in the 1930's.

Take it or leave it but i think it would make for an interesting story.
