Mass Effect Project (Warning Spoilers)

I decided to take a break from the game and start playing around with the Mass Effect Legendary Edition. As many of you may be aware, Mass Effect was hugely inspired by classic Star Trek. So why not mod the heck out of it. While it has been noted that nuTrek takes a little after Mass Effect. I am creating a mod that will insert Star Trek movie soundtracks/SFX into the ME Legendary Edition game and since they are conveniently all in one place this time, it will be easy to plug and play. As for the movies I am pulling from:

Mass Effect 1 - Star Trek: Nemesis. Nemesis is very techno and synthesized like Mass Effect 1. So it fits well. Its kind of fitting since Saran and Shepard are both Council Spectres and rivals with Saran commanding a literal predator of a starship: Sovereign. The "Battle of the Citadel" with the "Battle of the Basin Rift" OST works incredibly well to get the "shock" factor out of Sovereign. The MAKO rover/tank is made for the "Argos" track.

Mass Effect 2: Star Trek: Generations.
First of all you get an almost entirely new Normandy and crew. So I call it Mass Effect: The Next Generation. In the opening scene Shepard gets spaced after an attack by the Collectors. "Deck 15"'s somberness and the fact James Kirk got spaced like Shepard (saving Joker) on the Enterprise-B is a bonus. The Enterprise-B's launch track with the Normandy SR-2 is pretty sweet. The creepy undertones of Generations gives the Collectors a bit of an ominous feeling to them. When Harbinger assumes control of one of the Collectors, Geordi's "Visor" track is in essence what Harbinger is doing, seeing through a Collector's eyes. In the Batarian Asteroid DLC, the Nexus track on Viridian 3 when Soran throws his hands up to embrace it, is a nice little nod to Shepard seeing he's "doomed" just before asteroid hits the Batarian Relay. Also if you honestly want tears, try replacing Liara's theme in ME2 with a "Christmas Hug". Here you all thought Picard's Nexus fantasy was bad enough LOL.

Finally we have ME3 when the Borg...sorry Reapers come out to play. So we all know what that means....First Contact. I'm in the process of redesigning the opening with the First Contact credits of all the Mass Effect stars on it. It goes without saying the opening OST to First Contact is one of the most rousing pieces of sci-fi ever created. The Borg March when the Reapers go after Palavan (Turians) in the opening act almost made me jump. The "Environmental Controls" OST with Cerberus's take over of the Citadel is really good. You can tell something is up but you don't know what yet. As the Illusive Man slowly starts to turn more "indoctrinated" / assimilated as the game progresses, the Borg Queen's creepy almost horror like track gives Martin Sheen's performance a bit of a boost in the "WTF is he doing" reaction Shepard has. The Illusive Man's quest for control of the Reapers while being controlled himself is a nice mirror for the Borg Queen's "closer to perfection" speech. Finally when you get to the Citadel ending where you have to face off against a controlled Captain Anderson, Data's "betrayal" of Picard in Engineering gives the impression the situation is slowly going sideways and you no choice but to fire, but can't. At the end the "The Future Restored" track with Admiral Hacket's monologue is almost as good as Picard's.
