Is there a way to re-orient your ship back to level?

You know how you zoom in to a map and you're on a certain level x-axis orientation, but then you go up or down as you move and you're suddenly always going a little bit up or a little bit down again? Is there a way to re-orient your ship back to that level x-axis plane again? Is it something they'd ever add into the game? I mean if they can include a way to change your view to snap to the rear center of your ship, this doesn't seem like a big thing to me.
