THE GALAXY GOES TO RED ALERT! AGAIN!

The two week Galactic Red Alert is coming to PC, and you can earn an Experimental Ship Upgrade!

From August 2nd at 8am PT (17:00 CEST) – August 16th at 10am PT (19:00 CEST) all of our Red Alert events will be returning at once, as the Final Frontier is caught in a massive invasion on all sides.

    I've heard speculation that they're having problems with whatever content was supposed to come next, and they're throwing filler at us 'til they get it fixed. Wouldn't surprise me, personally.

    We got these shenanigans on Consoles just before the Summer Event - Red Alerts for 1 week, then 2 weeks!
    It doesn't mean that there's necessarily any problems with forthcoming content - just that the timing for it isn't as good as they'd like it to be.
    This puts us half-way through August, which gives enough time for two 3-week events or a 3-week and a 4-week event, finishing just in time for "A Cat's Tale" again.

    It's obvious they're afraid the newly released cat game is gonna drag players away now that the event ship was acquired by a lot of players at this point, so they're trying anything.
    That and the Duviri Paradox reveal of that other MMO, as well as the pre-6.2 event in THAT critically-acclaimed MMO.
    That's a joke by the way.

    I actually don't mind another RA. I was trying to get the accolades for the Borg Unimatrixes, and only managed to get half of them (RNGezus hates me!), so I'm good with it. LOL

    Like Sompek wasnt an appropriate replacement for another two weeks RA...
    And still no double mark weekend for Risa ending. Baffling.

    Neither do I.

    At least with these events it's not a big deal if you miss them as there are no unique rewards that you may or may not want to use at some point in the future.

    Their only downside is that it means fewer people are queuing for the other TFO's.
