Option to remove/reduce aura and other unneeded special effects!

Hello!

Longtime STO player here; I was wondering if we could get a future option to tone down/turn off a lot of the random special effects that items cause on ships to make it a bit more cinematic while playing? Sometimes it gets so chaotic it just turns into an ugly blur of color.

    That's been a very frequently requested feature. They are working on it according to the latest official Livestream. Hopefully at some point it gets done.

    Well IMO it can't get here soon enough. Just did a random had 4 "space Wizards'" in the match with me. It was so bad I couldn't even tell which enemy I had targeted. So much effects from all the space wizard's I was effectively useless in my escort.
