Jem'Hadar Crafting woes :-(

Just created Jem'Hadar toon as I remembered they start at lvl 15's...... but when I go to craft the things I need, I can't, as I believed in my own mind a just 1 Jem'Hadar toon in each carrier path will solve my crafting woes quickly, but I was wrong.....

What do I need to do ? I need these guy crafting.....

You need R&D (insert school) boffs. Most of which are found at K-13, so you need a fleet for those.

Might be able to get them elsewhere too, not sure. I don't do much crafting.

On PC I have a Jem'Hadar toon that can craft that didn't need R&D insert boffs, I just played and leveled him up, but when & why R&D unlocked I'm uncertain.

I just need to craft the normal low level stuff, deflectors, warp cores, [PEN] weapons, shields
Basically I want to use my Jem toons to bypass the months of research needed to craft Very Rare good quality items

Oh, in that case. The trick to regular stuff is make rank 2 whatever, then use one upgrade (phoenix is good) then see if it turns purple or better.

You can do that at any level of R&D.

You sadly have to with the rank 15 specials (omnis etc).

You do also need a relevant duty officer, even if it is not an R&D specialist. If you don't have the right doff, because he is off on a doff assignment or you just don't have any of the right type, you can't craft that item. You should be able to see what type of doff you need.

If you just created the character you would only have a limited selection of doffs that you start with. You can probably find what you need on the exchange.
