A t5 dilithium suggestion

live8evillive8evil Member Posts: 131 Arc User
The new t5 dilithium award change is not the most popular thing atm, so here is my suggestion to iron things out a bit:

-replace the dilithium cost in the reputation store with the same cost in reputation dilithium vouchers
-program an exchange, where you can convert regular, reputation and fleet dilthium into reputation or fleet dilithium

That's it.

p.s. reason for this suggestion is the fact many players have pointed out: one simply does not need so much reputation dilithium - in my case the proof is a romulan with the legendary romulan bundle unlock - he's fully geared with cca. 200K reputation dil in his bank - rotting.

You could always grab some free gear and try playing a new way. Or buy a ground set... or load out some boffs.

I don't think we really want people converting 480k into fleet dill. Might as well just scratch the idea of fleets ever being a dill sink if people can just roll new toons collect rep dill and convert it to fleet dill.

I believe their thinking is they want people to still get the value of the reward... but they don't want people using it to negate their sinks, or flood the market. The change removes it from the dill-zen market... but your change would negate the games largest dill sink.

They are planning to add more sinks... I don't think they are going to kill the ones already in game.

You should play this game more, if you do at all. People are buying dil for fleets, because it's fast, not because they don't have means to get dil.

Fleets and no one else is spending $3300 USD daily buying dillithium. OK then if that is what you believe.

They actualy used to spend much more, while the holdings were new. And it's not what i believe, but a cold fact.

For the time being, i have to admit i'm not sure - but I GUESS it's around 50% of daily zen traffic.

Doesn't sound like a bad guess. Still isn't that the entire point of the sink. If some people want to spend money to speed that good. Its what the fleet sinks are for. The rest are people buying for all the other games sinks, unlocks ect.

Game has one problem with two sides. Yes the sinks are not as strong as they used to be... the fleet holdings are getting stale. But it is hardly "there is nothing to spend dill on" that others are claiming either. $3-4k every day is being purchased... I am not sure Crytpic has had to many points where they where doing better then that in purple rock zen sales. The other side and I think we all have to admit it the mass farming has been an issue. No not everyone farming lots of dill was just leveling T5 reps and then draining and deleting toons.... however that was probably the majority of it.

Admiralty is probably the next largest dill creation mechanic. However that system rewards people that have spent money acquiring cards... and its much more time intensive then sun setting a bunch of toons in a alt grinder.

After that I guess its contraband and other doff stuff... but that was nerfed into a once a day long ago, I can't imagine contraband is making up a massive amount of the dill in the exchange.

Sorry to break it to you, but this is entirely theoretical.

Until the exchange hit cap, it was not possible for players to know how much Zen was passing through the dilithium exchange. That data was simple not available.

Now, it is, because we can calculate from the "backlogged" buy-at-500 orders and how long it takes an order to process.

My most recent "test sales" have yielded values around 24,000 Zen per hour / 560,000 Zen per day... so I also have no idea where anyone is getting "$3300".

3.3 million backlog... I had a sale go through today at pretty much 10 days too the hour. So 330,000 a day give or take or $3300 not counting sales and bulk discounts anyway.

Having said that I get it fluctuates and I don't pay that close attention to the daily numbers. I don't know what the backlog was actually at when I placed my sale. So if your saying its more like 5k a day ok.
