I watched a walkthrough seems simple enough Gate, 2 transformers, 4 generators fro the transformers, lots of probes and spheres.
.
In the walkthrough they lost the optional presumably because everyone went to the transformer on the left?
.
I'm guessing the heal probes come out the gate then try to repair, causing the optional to fail?
so thinking about my gameplay, would a GW science ship /torpedo boat in front of the gate as crowd control be a good idea? bad idea?
Is there a reason not to split forces, 2 left 2 right and one as a gate keeper?
referring back to complaints about leaver penalties, how does one inflict enough damage before some vape queen has finished the tfo in 12 seconds?

Originally, the strategy was to destroy the left, then the right generator, but with enough dps most players split the team now.
(With really low dps you should stick to the oldest Infected strategy and bring all 4 generators on a side to ~10% before destroying them together, to prevent the nanite ships from spawning - usually no longer required)
A grav well in front of the gate is a good idea, unless high dps makes this unneccessary as well.
Yes, good idea. A gravity well not on the transformer but towards the center can help delay critters until the transformer gets blown up. I'd drop the GW then switch focus onto the transformer.
Depends upon yourself and the rest of the team. The safe way is left then right.
You've heard it before... Emergency power to Engines + Emergency Conn Officer active duty Doff from the Phoenix Pack to reset evasive maneuvers with EPtE + Deuterium Surplus. Also Competitive reputation engines. There's no longer any need to be caught in combat without the ability to get around a map quickly.
From a science ship perspective, unload most things at the start, hit Photonic Officer, then unload again on the left. Use Sensor Analysis on the transformer. You should be good.
That being said, the three Borg TFO's at the top of the TFO menu are normal difficulty so unfortunately peeps with very effective setups will end up on these maps when they really should be scrolling through the 'all marks' list to find the advanced or better versions that also count for event progress.
This will extend Infected Space from 12 seconds to about 60
I wish there was a way to better display the alternate difficulties available for these event queues.
Hopefully folks will queue up for the difficulty that best matches their game play. There is no honor in afk'ing somebody on normal.
