How did I get my Customizer Stuck?

I was just looking at my ship's status etc. (like where you can click on you, your ship, or a bridge officer and equip etc.) and I had the mouse near my ship and bumped the mouse and keyboard and Bam -- my temporal battlecruiser turned a wild color and pattern. I thought, "Cool!". But now I can't change it, even in Ship Customize in spacedock at shipyard. Not only that, but I applied the TOS Ranger skin to my Temporal Battlecruiser, and even *it* has this weird skin! All of the hull material types do nothing -- just this weird skin color and pattern that looks like I stripped a layer off the 3D object. What *is* this and how do I deactivate it? It's chrome-ish and blue green with artsy patterns. Honestly it looks like a 3D object that's 1 step from fully rendered like if your computer is bogged down and your ship takes a second to fully load. But maybe it's some weird option I hit and can't find again in your Status/Equip. etc, mode....? Thanks for any help.

again, this is not Material Type # (unless it's locked somehow) -- material type numbers all just show the same exterior on both ships/retrofits/skins

Okay fixed -- it was my shields that had special visualizations. I can keep the same shields but right click and disable the funky visualizations because they certainly look terrible on a TOS ship from the side. Actually looks kinda cool from top or bottom but not TOS-looking.
