QOL improvements and a refined dilithium deposit for the account bank

since cryptic is now changing the lifetime sub model and giving every player 20 shared account bank slots now, i was thinking that the thing itself could use some qol improvements.

first would be a refined dilithium deposit similar to the ec deposit in your shared account bank.

since we can shove our refined dil between our characters anyway over the zen exchange, this would be more of a quality of life improvement to get rid of a few anoying steps in between like posting an offer on the exchange and then cancelling it.


the second would be checkboxes next to the ec and dil deposits to allow currency to be subtracted directly from the account bank when making a purchase with either dil or ec ingame.

lets say your character has 10 million ec currently on himself, and you want to buy something for 20 million ec from the exchange. when you have the checkbox activated, it would allow you to buy the item and subtract the missing 10 million from your account bank deposit if youve got enought ec stored there.

same for dilithium.

    These would be nice, but there are many other QoL changes I'd rather have instead. If they give us this, we don't get something else.

    I mean it makes sense to offer a refined dilithium deposit as part of shared bank; just depend how long refined dilithium time take to add to Shared bank on part of the DEV's. So from that part I agree with @davefenestrator ...

    However doing this for dilithium ore be very unwise, and make the DILEX problem far worse than what we've seen the last little while as people can suddenly transfer ore.

    I'd rather they focused on expanding some Tier III out to IV holdings, could do one slowly each year for 5 years. And then could also add a Ferengi Commerce Holding to IV as well, that be far more wise thing to do.

    Refined Dilithium is easy to transfer beteween characters on an account. Just make a DilEx offer no one would take (25z/dil) and then cancel the order on the character you want to transfer the dil to. They can then withdraw it and use it.
    Now a LTS and loving it.
    Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
    I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

    There is a Refined Dil deposit already available via the method Echatty has already said. No need to program another, and this method is QUICKER and EASIER to access than your Account Bank.

    this is the second time something is telling me something i already addressed in the op. its as if people arent even reading it before they comment.

    also, quicker and easier is debatable. ît requires you to make an offer on the exchange, and then cancelling that offer.

    i guess you cant access the account bank from everywhere, but when youre already close to one, id say depositing the dil there would be quicker and easier.

    then again, there are mission drop rewards that let you summon these small ships that allow you to access your bank and account bank from everywhere too.

    People are free to disagree with you by pointing out something that you "already know."

    Stating an easy alternative to your suggestion is a perfectly valid reason to disagree with it.

    I've done that for years. The comment I made (above) was why allowing Ore be transferred between characters is a very bad idea.
