one of the problems as i see it with STO and MMOs in general is the amount of clicking being high enough it takes you out of actually paying much attention to what's happening.
for instance in space sometimes you have 4 trays of abilities or more, ship abilities, hangars, the bridge officer menu and the power distribution menu as well as chat, map, objectives
anyway my point is that it's really clunky.
you should be able to group abilities into auto-activating single press combinations without any mods or addons, simply to clean the UI up. getting rid of the majority and bridge officer menu at least would free some space.
