This thread regards the direction of development for character outfitting and creation.
1) outfits business model
currently new outfits are few and far between, and the outfitting options are actually pretty limited. originally not so much could be expected but it still seems like the distant past holds more additional outfits being made than the present.
it would be nice if there was some attention given to non-specific outfit pieces, miscellaneous items not from specific star trek content.
2) gender imbalance
a lot of the female outfits are so much better than the male ones, and i have gripes with how stuff is presented, and don't understand why there's no access available to alternatives.
IE shorts. if you want shorts as a male character you're just out of luck, but also crop tops, tights, heels, etc. female characters even get a better default belts selection for use with skirts.
even on paid outfits like terran mirror outfits, the female ones are just better looking. it's not just shorts though, there's a lot of stuff like hair and a variety of other stuff that female characters just get better choices for.
3) gender change
it's currently not possible to change genders in the game even with a support ticket. my understanding is that this is partly because current gendered outfits are not the same item but it might be more complicated.
it'd be nice to be able to change characters' genders. personally a couple of my main characters are male and i'm just no longer comfortable with that, and considering how widely progress is character-bound it's not ideal to be locked into a gender.
4) colour palettes
why are these so inconsistent? new items seem to have a better and more vibrant palette, but old items are stuck with a different palette and on that basis can't match.
this needs an overhaul so that everything can match and has a better selection of colours.
