Web console discrepancy

Just recently I noticed something. The "Sticky Web" console from the Mirror Incursion Lock Box does kinetic damage, but the "Tholian Webspinner Array" from the event does physical damage. Why don't they do the same kind of damage? Aren't they both derived from Tholian technology, even if the first one doesn't have 'Tholian' in its name? They should both do the same type of damage, one or the other, so that those 'synergies' are possible.
