DO NOT make the same mistake I made: Dilithium Exchange Complacency

So, just a warning to new players (and old ones alike)

I've been playing the game for AGES and still make mistakes...

I wanted to move a large sum of Dilithium this morning from one character to another (500,000 Dilithium, or about 1000 Zen) today. I clicked on the "Sell Zen" tab just so see the current goings since nothing was showing on the "Sell Dil" tab. I got overly complacent, didn't select back over to the "Sell Dilithium" tab, and also forgot to change the Dil to Zen amount like I've done a handful of times each week since I started playing (back in 2012). I'll be darned, someone got the better end of my very large error as I clicked "accept" and watched the last two months worth of Zen stipend disappear, a total of 1000 Zen. Someone got very lucky and in one fell stroke got the 1,000 Zen they were hoping for...

Learn from my mistake... Don't get complacent with the DilEx... It'll swallow your income whole before quick can get ready...

CM

p.s. Not telling this for any sympathy, as I am well aware of the mistake I made... Just warning to be careful with the DilEx... No matter how often you've used it...

When you transfer delithium use: buy zen for 1 to 100 ratio, this will be too expensive for sane person to accept, then you log with your other character and pull back your delithium.

btw yesterday i actually saw for a brief moment 1000 zen melt in the exchange for a minute, the reason i was checking is another guy was complaining he did the same mistake but with 9000 zen, so i was randomly checking whats going on....

I doubt the 9000 Zen claim, as you're limited to 5000. So he either was lying or made 2 olympic sized errors.

With a maxed, dead dilex, doesn't even matter what numbers you put in, but always check to be on the Buy tab every single time. Not a good layout to have a tab alter a button's function completely opposite without even changing the button text (minus the last part), but that's Cryptic. At this point they better not mess with it, since it would also bug it out completely - as if they needed more reasons for probably high new-player turnover.

Well, I only made the one error... So the other was not me...

Also, I always check to make sure I'm on the right tab... Except for yesterday...

And yes, overall still in the positive, just sucks I made the mistake, so thought to warn others...

It's not possible to do that in one transaction. The maximum Zen per transaction, whether buying or selling IS 5000 Zen.

I deleted an email once that had a bunch of crafted gear as attachments, that I was using to move it to another character. Now I always do that through the account bank.

I've messed up on the exchange at least once over the years.

You just have to remind yourself it's not that much money / time / effort but it still stings for awhile.

I've had one such email to myself vanish completely despite typing the name correctly, even using the auto-complete, it never went through but took the items anyways, and it wasn't due to a full inbox or anything. Another time I moved some R&D materials into the R&D tab but they never appeared and just vanished.
