Tour of the Universe

I was just thinking on how much I miss the old version of the Tour of the Universe. We all would meet at the club on ESD and all beam up together. I remember watching all the players warp out at the same time. I use to sit at a certain spot and grant diplomatic immunity to everyone who flew by close so they could fly quicker in space. I would love to see cryptic do a event like that again. Wishful thinking though. What is everyone's thoughts?

Well it would mix things up a bit, and might be nice, something different than just the usual stuff.

Tour the Galaxy though is a single player mission for sure, though you can buff each others speed for a period of time with Immunity. I've always wondered if it be nice to also see a Variant (Perhaps your Universe idea) that you'd require doing with 1 other person that expands on it.

Still the only challenge there is for most to get the full speed or benefits you mostly have to be 50+, where most events typically start at 11+ for example.

Still not saying they wouldn't consider it a 50+ event like that, as most players have at least 1 and could find a friend to partake with on it. Be a good reason for cooperation &/or communication for various Fleets to try to organize. For example perhaps you had to Visit locations in Alpha, Beta, Delta, and Gamma locations between you &/or one other friend or fleet member each day.

Might also be a way to earn the Well Travelled Trait (account-wide) for those who hadn't, on top of some other Event Rewards, perhaps a bonus 75% Energy Credit boost even though you'd be dividing it between 2 players.

I'm always willing to try something different.
