I did creat a beam for my ships . the problem i not understand is this https://sto.fandom.com/wiki/File:Re-engineering_Window.png I see we can have 5 perk for dmg or acuracy . but when i do creat my beam on R&D with my lvl max is only 2 perk or 3 perk . i never see it 5 in my hands . do i did miss some part ?
Are you crafting them at Mk II or Mk XII? Best way to craft is go Mk II and then get some Phoenix upgrades and upgrade.
This. If you craft as Mark II and your R&D level is high enough you have a 100% chance of crafting at VR quality with 3 mods to start.
It's also cheap to craft a few dozen if you want a set with the mods that can only be gotten at crafting time, PEN (armor penetration) and OVER (beam overload). Re-engineering will never get you those two mods, or SPR (torp spread) for torpedoes.
Also, if you craft at Mark II then you have 10 extra cheap chances for a quality upgrade to ultra rare or epic, compared to crafting at Mark XII.
