Grim Determination 1st Expeditionary Fleet is recruiting at this time! Our fleet (GD1EF) is a little over one year old and we still have a long way to level up our fleet. But we are not a new fleet either! We use Discord as our primary voice chat for fleet events/meetings. We are also a gaming community - we have Grim Determination (GD) chapters in MechWarrior Online & Star Citizen! We are a casual/laid back type of players. As some of our members like to use "colorful adjectives" when talking in game. Must be 18+ to join our ranks. And must use Discord, voice apps help a lot when trying to explain to new users how to setup a tool bar or how to adjust your power settings on the heads-up-display!
For STO we do have [2] planned evenings as a fleet night (2nd Wednesday & 3rd Friday of every month)
The name of Grim Determination hails from Mechwarrior lore (as a Battalion under House Davion) dating back to the late 80's/early 90's. Currently, the Mechwarrior Online development will be going the way of the dinosaurs. So, we wanted to find a game(s) that would allow us to keep our Grim Determination namesake alive in some manner; so that it will live on in other games that our members enjoy playing!
We recently adopted War Commander (FB game) into our ranks as one example of spreading out from the big battling robot games. You are not required to play any other games in our community. If you only want to play STO that is fine.
We have end of month meetings to which all members; are allowed to join in, to see what our community is up to and what lies in store down the road for our GD gaming community! Only Officers/Chapter Leaders are required to be in attendance for the end of month meetings!
Most of our members are in the USA; but we have a few of our members are also located in the UK!
