It's always nice to see someone who bothers to write any kind of Bio for their Captains, let alone a decent one.
It's a miracle when I see someone who's enough of a hardcore nerd to write a bio for their BOFFs like I do!
FYI: YES!! You CAN write Bios for your BOFFs, and other players CAN read them!!!
So let's post our Captain Bios and Main BOFF Bios for Your Go-To Away Team. Feel free to add all your BOFFs if yer bored enough. But at least you main Away Team.
I'm not going to put in screenshots right now, but I will eventually add a Screenshot for each. To avoid a cluttered thread I figure we should put each Bio/Screenshot in a Spoiler Tag.
Just Copy/Paste whatever you wrote in your in-game Bio here. And throw in some other little interesting factoids. What's your Career Path(Class)? What's your main type of Starship? Your primary and secondary Specializations?
If any of you have suggestions for a cleaner, better-presented way to format this I welcome the ideas.
I'll start with my main KDF Recruit
Dahar Master Ronin and the Crew of the I.K.S. Knife of Kirom
Ronin
In-Game Name: Ronin
Lore Name: Ronin, Son of Cristoval
In-Game Species: Klingon(TOS-appearance)
Lore Species: Klingon/Human Neo-Augment Hybrid
Career Path: Science
Primary Specialization: Temporal Operative
Secondary Specialization: Commando/Strategist(As needed. Wish I could just make them both my primary/secondary and not have to bother switching!)
Ship: D4x Bird of Prey
The eldest son of Cristoval Navarro and Khe'lara. His father a human Neo-Augment, as far beyond the Khan-era augments as they were beyond baseline humans. His mother the heiress of House Kortak. A house all but outcast not by dishonor but by a fluke of genetics. Their bloodline held a rare gene marker that made them resistant to the treatment that all but eradicated the Metagenic Augment Virus of the 23rd Century.
The mere sight of House Kortak made them a constant memory of a time most Klingons wished to forget. Their very blood was stigmatized. Polluted. Finding suitable mates became increasingly difficult over time. House Kortak gradually declined until they were a Great House in name only. In their efforts to cure themselves they became the best geneticists and biologists in the Empire, but to no ultimate avail.
Khe'lara made a desperate bid to save her House by marrying into the Great House of Gor. Many suspected she bewitched Gor. However she did it, it worked...for about a week until Critsoval sent Gor to Sto'Vo'Kor.
Many might have given up but Khe'lara collected obscure stories of obscure Houses. The story of one such House...The House of Quark...gave her inspiration. One Pulsewave-Brek'tal later the House of Gor became the House of Navarro. The following year, Ronin was born.
His journey would prove a difficult one. He was heir to a Great House now scandalized twice over. First by merging with House Kortak, only to be usurped by an outsider. One that would further pollute Klingon blood with Human-Augment DNA. It fueled rumors Khe'lara had schemed this all along.
So-called 'true' Klingons abandoned the house in droves. In spite of that Cristoval would eventually go on to restore their fortunes and transform the House of Navarro into a true power in the Empire. But those early struggles forced Ronin to ponder his identity as a Klingon. He eventually chose to spend two years of of his life fasting and meditating at the Temple of Boreth. Until Kahless finally appeared to him and helped him see his path.
Rejecting the 'easy road' of serving in the Navarro fleet, he took a lowly posting on the first House-unaffiliated ship that would have him. Then he clawed his way from scraping Targ pits to the Command seat. And he forced himself to do it slowly. To earn the respect of his crew along the way.
Now one and all his crew would follow him into Gre'thor if he commanded it. He has earned his legend and become renowned throughout the empire as a Warrior-Priest, a Warrior-Poet, and a Warrior-Scholar but above all...a Warrior-Born.
Being both a Navarro and a Kortak with the intellectual capacity of a Neo-Augment, Ronin is not merely a famed warrior but possibly the single best geneticist in the galaxy. It shows in the War-Targs he has bred, Phobos and Deimos. Furthermore his time on Boreth gave him a chance to be exposed to the Time Crystals and greatly expanded his understanding of temporal mechanics.
Atahlya D'ian of House Navarro
Species: Orion
Career: Science
Specialization: Intelligence Specialist/Pilot
Position: Chief Medical Officer
After realizing that the first three spies she sent to infiltrate the House of Navarro had the tables turned upon them and had in fact been seduced into switching their loyalty directly to Cristoval, Melani D'ian decided it was time for a more circumspect approach. She would place an agent with the heir to the House, rather than the Head of it. Surely he would be easier to manipulate. And this time, so as to avoid any questions of loyalty she'd send one of her own daughters.
It didn't help.
Atahlya isn't disloyal to her mother. Not in the least. But she has absolutely fallen in love with Ronin, drawn as much to his sheer force of will and the depth of conviction as to his intellect and physical attributes. And the House of Navarro is no threat to her mother's interests. She truly believes that.
Well...none of Melani's important interests at any rate.
That's what she tells herself anyway. What she'll do when the inevitable day arrives that this belief is challenged, even she doesn't know.
Areya T'lok of House Navarro
Species: Orion
Career: Tactical
Specialization: Intelligence Specialist
Position: Chief of Security
Areya was a bit defective by Orion female standards. Her pheremones worked well enough, but they were rather average in potency and this was compounded by her own lack of control and finesse in using them. She would never be a true seductress useful enough to control the men of the galaxy the way other Orion women do.
To make matters worse her mother had been on the losing side of an internal power struggle years ago and still had many enemies within the clan as a result. The T'lok Clan Matriarch was planning to sell Areya off as an actual pleasure slave just out of sheer spite.
Areya understood from a very young age that she had to prove her worth to avoid that fate. She dedicated herself to learning. Strategy, tactics, and arts of manipulation practiced by races that don't have Orion pheremones to rely on. Combined with her innately ruthless cunning this allowed her to not only overcome her perceived weaknesses but excel far beyond what anyone expected from her.
Before long she was the new Matriarch and condemned the previous one to the very fate that had been intended for Areya herself. Shortly afterward the Clan controlled their own moon. Then a entire star system.
Melani D'ian was beginning to see her as a potential rival within the Syndicate so that was the beginning of the end.
Under her mother's direction, Atahlya subtly steered Ronin in Areya's direction, expecting him to deal with the burdgeoning crimelord as he dealt with most crimelords. To this day Ahtalya isn't sure if the events that followed were mere chance as they appeared to be or if Ronin somehow sensed the manipulation and decided to take a more unorthodox approach to resolving the situation.
Perhaps it simply boiled down to the fact that Areya proved herself a formidable obstacle to Ronin's mission and the Navarros are rather fond of turning formidable enemies into formidable allies. When the moment of truth came, rather than destroy the T'lok clan's operation, Ronin decided those resources would be best turned to the service of his House and Areya had little choice but to agree.
Truth be told, she had grown rather bored running a criminal empire and found that being the one on the throne was more trouble than it was worth. Being a strong supporter of the throne has nearly all the benefits, and far fewer direct threats. She remains Matriarch of her Clan, but as a Vassal of House Navarro, she has their protection and support in exchange for relatively little. And that is the very essence of the Orion way.
Valkyrus of the Navarro Unity
Species: Liberated Borg Klingon
Career: Engineering
Specialization: Miracle Worker
Position: Chief of Engineering
Valkyrus was something of an accidental rescue. When Ronin destroyed her Tactical Cube in combat, she was one of many Drones jettisoned into space to die. As fortune would have it, Valkyrus was propelled right at Ronin's ship where she survived the vacuum of space long enough to grab on to the hull and drag herself toward an airlock.
Like a dutiful drone she promptly began assimilating the ship once she gained entry but was quickly discovered and subdued. Any other officer in the KDF would likely have killed her and been done with it but Ronin looked upon her and felt pity: A Klingon who would be forever denied entry into Sto'vo'kor if she died in such a wretched manner.
If they had met in the heat of combat, that was one thing. But she was subdued and that gave him a chance to pursue a riskier, but more honorable resolution. He resolved to free her from the Collective. He made her part of his crew. He committed himself to giving her a chance for redemption, glory, and the restoration of her honor.
Valkyrus remembers little of her life before being Borg. Yet she can not deny that something about the tales of Sto'vo'kor tugs at her heart. While she may never again be what she once was and is unsure what the future holds for her, she is eternally grateful to Ronin for giving her a chance to find out.
Anassi of the Navarro Unity
Species: Liberated Borg Romulan
Career: Science
Specialization: Temporal Operative
Position: Chief Science Officer
When Valkyrus fully restored her own sense of individuality she made a request of Captain Ronin. Her very first request as an indidivudal: to rescue her friend from the Collective. Valkyrus and Anassi formed an unusually strong connection within Unimatrix Zero. A Romulan and a Klingon both united in tragedy. As Valkyrus spent more time in spiritual meditation more of her memories from Unimatrix Zero resurfaced and she knew she had to help her friend.
Seeing equal opportunity for glory, honor, and scientific gain Ronin was only too happy to oblige this request and planned out the operation with the level of meticulous detail and precision that one would expect from a Neo-Augment. As a result Anassi was just one of several thousand Borg severed from the Collective when the operation was executed.
Neo-Augments don't tend to bother with doing things in half-measures.
Most were turned over to the Cooperative for rehabilitation, but Valkyrus personally took custody of Anassi and oversaw the restoration of her individuality much as Ronin had overseen hers.
Now the two of them have joined the House of Navarro's own version of the Cooperative with other liberated Borg that the Navarros have rescued and rehabilitated: The Navarro-Unity. Amongst them is Ronin's own mother Khelara, who was rescued from the Collective by his father shortly after Ronin earned his first Command.

U.S.S Eris NCC-92323
Captain: Beauregard Fnord
"Captain's log, Stardate: 53020.7.
We have been dispatched to follow up on a lead to the whereabouts of Dr. Hgeourg Dumast'Faushtcian, a mentally disturbed Vidiian (Sociopathic, Paranoid) who escaped from the Elbe II asylum on stardate 51525. We are en' route to Drozana Station to meet with the informant (Mr. Soume Guuy), who claims to have information on his location."
"Captain's log, Stardate 53025.9.
Final Log entry; We have sustained significant and extensive damage to almost every system on the ship, Thank the Stars life-support, and communications are still intact. But most likely, the Eris will have to be scrapped. There are retrieval ships on the way to ferry the crew back to Earth Spacedock; I have approved extended leave on Drozana until they arrive. We were following the rather vague and somewhat over-descriptive tip when Dr. Dumast'Faushtcian ambushed us outside of Trealus II in the Ba'aja system in what appeared to be a heavily modified Romulan research vessel. After a lengthy and vicious battle, we disabled his ship; sensors detected a large number of life forms onboard, the majority of which were juveniles and developing eggs. I dispatched a security team to
apprehend Dr. Dumast'Faushtcian, and a 2nd Medical team to attend to the children. Both teams were attacked and suffered minor injuries; the incubation equipment interfered with the transporters. We could not prevent him from activating the self-destruct sequence; we were able to safely retrieve both teams, and Senior Nurse Melody Straenj was able to save two of the eggs. Our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Houtman scanned and discovered that one egg is an unaltered Gorn, and the other egg has been severely modified. Dr. Houtman has given the modified egg a 25% chance of survival. Nurse Straenj has requested permission to take guardianship of the eggs and wants to take them to the Gorn colony on Nimbus III to hatch. As she is the only reptilian on board, I have granted her request for Guardian-ship and filed her request to Starfleet Medical for a long-term research assignment. It's really too bad about the Eris, but in the end, she really did come through for us." -END LOG-

Latest Update Stardate: 92643.58
Parsley Straenj hatched from her egg on Stardate: 53038.38 on Nimbus III; reports indicate that she is a highly intelligent and emotional being. Growing up on Nimbus III around criminal elements and poverty has given her a street-wise attitude. She has the distinction of being the youngest being to graduate from her primary school. However, she began and dropped out of Starfleet Academy 5 separate times. Each break was due to bouts of severe depression and anxiety followed by episodes of extreme paranoia and intense criminal activity. Due to the medical nature of her condition, all records have been sealed to protect the innocent, obscure buildings destroyed, property damaged, and minor violations of the prime directive.
*Public Statement from Jag Court Hearing
Case #1325-11A, Stardate: 83393.15-
"Effective immediately, Parsley Straenj has been cleared of all charges, it has been determined that all activities resulted from an advanced long-term parasitic infection. Due to her unusual biological makeup, this infection took many years and extraordinary events to discover and eliminate. It is noted that after clearing infection, by Dr. Boris D. Houtman, cadet Straenj has completed the Academy course with highest honors, top grades, and recommendations from most of her instructors, along with extended starship experience, it is the judgment of this court that all records concerning this case are sealed, and full rank and commission is granted to Esn. Parsley Straenj."

On my way to the graveyard at Depot Z15, what a long boring ride. Five is excited.. I think. She, keep pouring over the graveyard's manifest like it's the greatest holo-novel ever written. And Willie... is Willie, that damn Captain is so serious and stoic all the time, you would think he is part Vulcan. 'It will happen the way it is supposed to, Pars.' Such a deadpan; the funny thing is, every time he says that, things seem to work out perfectly. I told him that if it does work out, he would be my number one. He's a good choice, smart and loyal, I have known him since my last attempt at the Academy. Five only wants to rebuild a ship, but she's an ex-borg, and I am glad to have her; they said I was crazy to take her on, but they didn't want her anyway, and hell, maybe I am crazy, whatever. No one else would come, and who could blame them? Rear Admiral Jerico doesn't seem to like me very much. It seems to be a fool's errand, from a fool, only to get rid of me. He told me before we left that the only way I'm getting a ship is to get one from scrap, I'd like to scrap him. Whatever, I know where I am going, and I know what I am after; I'll show him, 'since you put yourself back together so well, I am sure a starship won't be an issue for you. Bring back a ship and I will make you it's Captain.' can't wait to see his face after we are done."

Well, that couldn't have gone better. I swear that Cat is my good luck charm. Of course, it didn't start that way; the Zakdorn quartermaster, Dokachin, was very rude from the start over the viewscreen. However, as soon as he beamed aboard, he instantly started a sneezing fit and broke out in hives. Apparently, he is allergic to cats. He could not leave fast enough, told us to find a guide, gave us the access codes to the entire yard, said good luck, and promptly beamed back to the station. When I went aboard, I was greeted by some rather questionable characters of both moral standards and sobriety, none of whom seemed interested in assisting my efforts until I happened on one of the station's engineers, a young Lt. named Bill Fnord; it really was a magical moment, I will never forget. I approached him in a friendly manner and told him that I was assigned to resurrect one of the ships in the yard. He seemed unconcerned and a bit aloof. "there are a lot of ships to look at; none are in any kind of shape, depends on where you want to start and who you can get to help you." he said in a bleary non-committal way, "I already know the ship I am after, I just need to know where it is." I said. Not looking at me, "oh yea? what ship is that, I might have heard of it, there are a lot of ships out there, and some of their names can even be read." his sarcasm was so thick you could cut it with a knife. I was about to lose my temper, "I am here to locate and resurrect the U.S.S. Eris registry number 92" "92323," he finished for me, at once his entire demeanor changed "you've come for the Eris?" his excitement was very apparent. "I have." I said in a calm tone. "what's she to you?" he asked, his tone shifted erratically becoming suspicious, "She saved my life, and I want to return the favor" I had no idea why I said that; it just seemed like the right answer. He looked at me and scanned me with his eyes, "your gonna be her Captain then?' he asked. "I am," I said in the same tone. "Well, your gonna need an engineer to help rebuild her," he said, standing up with a smile building on his face. His poor attempt to intimidate me started in earnest. I needed to change the emerging pattern to get anywhere with this guy. "I already have an engineer, a good one." I wasn't sure what he was going on about, then he blurted out, "Look, No-one Knows or Loves that Ship as Much as Me; that was My Father's Ship. I was Born there, Where She Goes, I Go." I gave him a stern look as I swelled to my full size over 6 feet, my skin turning blue ebony; I towered over him and gave him the same scanning look he gave me; his demeanor changed from nervous excitement to fear almost instantly. My voice boomed out from my larger form, "Well, as my mother served on her, I was incubated there so that practically makes us family." I slapped him on the shoulder as a profoundly confused look came over his face, "And since you haven't left her, you'll have to welcome me home instead." I wonder if Five will react to this? Probably not; good thing too. She is going to make a much better Chief of Operations anyway."

Launch day- it's been two years at the graveyard; I think Five visited each derelict at least twice. It was a tough job, but the Eris was ready. Total Borg refit got weapons from everywhere, Klingon, Romulan, Breen. We were able to get our NX designation without any issues, Five is amazing. Once it got out what we were doing, I got flooded with a huge list of applicants for service: mostly weirdos and crazies but more than a few gems in the mix. Willie noted the lack of humans among the crew. But, that's not on me, as only a few applied, and I have been too busy to go looking. I made Mr. Fnord our chief engineer; the security team looks scary, a Klingon, a Gorn, A Cardassian, and a massive Andorian, good stuff. Overall, I am happy with the list, a nice mix from every corner of the universe, just like me. The launch ceremony was amazing. I will never forget the look on Adm. Jerico's face; it was priceless. Both Adm. Paris and Adm. Janeway came to see us off. Adm. Janeway made a very moving speech about overcoming adversity and gave me high honors. I took everything I had not to cry in front of everyone. Truth is, for the first time in my life, I really feel like I have found my place in the universe."
