Chat settings help

so I have lost all non-system chat, I have made a ticket request (383242) and was told it might be a bug and they will get to it and there was no chat ban. So while they are doing that I was hoping that someone here has had this issue and knows how to fix it.

Try putting these into chat one at a time and then pressing enter -

/Whitelist_Chat 0
/Whitelist_Tells 0

This problem falls under that special computer repair manual where you log out and log back in or restart your client or whatever you are using to play the game. However one day they might actually overhaul this archaic system that has almost existed without any changes or updates in almost 11 years.
