Rewards Mk Don't Match

Shouldn't you receive higher Mk rewards when repeating missions? Shouldn't you receive the item it shows that you'll receive? I'm level 40 and doing missions that say they'll award Mk X items, but I get only Mk IV. Did something change because it didn't used to be this way.

There must have been a change to the system I was not aware of. I've been getting very low Mark items even though the reward states they will be higher, like in the screen shot. Then I tried something (upgrading) and discovered the items will upgrade all the way to Mk X for free. Don't know why this is, but now I know.

You must have taken the mission while still at a lower rank. It looks like you accepted the mission as a Lt Commander level 16 and played it as a Captain.

Stop trying to break the game

At least many of the mission rewards will upgrade for free all the way to Mark XII when put in the upgrade window as you discovered.

This is the only change I can think of aside from being able to skip through missions and take them out of order if you've previously played though them on a different character who's reached level 65 as you are doing.

Your Chroniton torpedo drop shown in chat is level appropriate so things are working fine.

Yes they do scale but you took the mission at level 16 and apparently never got around to doing it, so the rewards were locked in at 16. Do it again and you'll get the rewards at your level.
