"Secret Mission" Trait Question

Are the Section 31 Swarms that the Secret Mission Trait summons classified as pets? https://sto.gamepedia.com/Trait:_Secret_Mission

"Every several seconds in combat, you will receive a secret mission to take out a nearby enemy. When that foe gets out of range or is defeated, you will acquire a new marked foe as your new secret mission. The marked foe is less resistant to you, and when they are defeated, a swarm of Section 31 Attack Drones will spawn to hunt down other targets."

And if so, it would stand to reason that pairing this with the Numerical Superiority trait from the T6 Hestia Class Advanced Escort would work? https://sto.gamepedia.com/Trait:_Numerical_Superiority

"This starship can unlock the Numerical Superiority starship trait by achieving level 5 in their Starship Mastery. While this trait is slotted, you gain a damage bonus that increases as more allies target your targeted foe, including yourself. This includes pets like Saucer Separation or Multi-Vector pets, but not hangar pets."

Now I know for sure that the drones are not hangar pets, so can I assume that they are classified as space pets similar to the saucer separation or multi-vector pets?
Fingers crossed for the return of the Section 31 Heavy Rifle <3

No idea. Its not clear where anything besides separation pets and hangar pets stand. I would probably bet on any summon type pet counting from wherever they come from, as hangar pets are a specific mechanic, while summons whether its the fleet support or distress calls are generic allies that can be destroyed, like separation pets, and usually time out after a while.
