Polar Lights 1:1000 Disco Constitution

Has anyone else dipped their hands in their pockets and purchased a Polar Lights 1:1000 Disco Constitution? Mine arrived yesterday, and I have no idea what to do with it, short of admiring.

I had a few models during my youth, specifically a TOS Enterprise, the Reliant, the Excelsior and Voyager (all 1:1000 scale) though you could say I didn't hang about it building and painting them. Really should've took more time, but that was a long time ago. Suffice to say, I want to take my time with this one, undercoat it, build it, fill it, light it up, apply the decals and then the registry (of which probably isn't going to be the Enterprise - need to find someone on eBay who does custom registries I think).

But yeah, does anyone else build/collect models, and has anyone got on of these? If so, have you done anything unique with it, and were you boring and just went with Enterprise, or did you get a little more creative when naming?

while smaller, I have the 1:2500 version. turned out rather well. painted up in metallic grey. the decals, at least on this one, cover the entire hull surfaces. wish they would do a K'tinga in that scale
