After the end of the Iconian war, Cassy Morrison (who, in my head cannon, is the last flesh and blood Iconian, to one day, long time from now, become energy like the others), took her experience of being among her kind, 200000 years ago, and along with her travels among the worlds in the Romulan neutral zone (her adopted homeworld is in it) in the old days, she began to think of a new ship idea. The temporal cruiser, temporal connie, whatever you want to call it. Named the USS Hoagland, in honor of Richard C. Hoagland (one of my person heroes).
With the relatively peaceful time after the Iconian war ended, and having the time, and the newly acquired knowledge of her people, when they were at their height of power, as well as what was learned during the temporal war with Daniels, and a certain curly haired time traveler with a long scarf....Cassy begin to envision her dream ship. Being owed several favors by Star Fleet over the years, Cassy was given the resources she needed to start making the ship. Heading to the Surplus Depot Z15 at Qualor 2, Cassy selected various Constitution class parts....if you are gonna make a new ship....make it with STYLE, as Doc Brown would say. She also recalled seeing the secondary hull of a Constitution at Wolf 359. Getting Star Fleet's approval, she asked to have that hull piece taken and used for the ship construction, and thus honoring the crewmen who died on that ship, and giving that ship a second chance at greatness. Cassy's friend, Walter Hartford, who came from the Kelvin timeline, during the battle with the sphere builders in that alternate universe, lent his own suggestions and ideas, which included the transwarp drive from the new Constitution of his universe.
The main interfacing systems of the ship were based on isomorphic controls...meaning they'd only obey Cassy and those she'd permit...useful for keeping bad guys....and Section 31.....from controlling it....or perverting it. The ship was powered by a small, zero point energy device, shaped like a pyramid, and the size of roughly a bread box, taking energy from space, 1 cubic centimeter having enough to power a planet for a single day, so energy was no problem. The Hoagland, thanks to Doc's insight from his time, recalling the infamous USS Vengeance, can be controlled by a single person, and needing only a maxium of 5. The interiors, with reduced need of crew, feels like a luxury star cruiser, with long term comfort being focused on.
Weapons were based on Iconian, and Undine anti-proton energy. Also included was 2 radiant quantum torpedo launchers, one in front, one in back, as an experimental forward crystalline torpedo launcher. Shields were of the Iconian resistance's design. *added a phaser array ring, on top of the saucer and on the bottom, recently on the model (a mix of Madman's Defiant and Starkiller's connie parts pack), will show in later art works* The molecular deconstruction/reconstruction beam is also one of it's main armaments.
Construction took place at Antares Shipyards. Total construction time: 3 months.
After the Hoagland was completed, Cassy arranged to have to be sent to her adopted star system, to become the first ship of that system's planetary defense force, along with a series of older, decommissioned ships (as a good will gesture to the system, and Cassy serving as an ambassador, and preparing the system for Federation entry) sometime after. Cassy had to leave for her home, with her wife, Vanda, and requested her friends, the crew of station K-10, to put the Hoagland through its paces on a shakedown journey, and later return to take it back to her home system.

In Cold Blood
I find the crew of 1 to 5 very interesting. Going down from a crew of 430 to that number reminds of the old M-5 Multi-tronic computer, but your control system no doubt lacks the troublesome engrams of Dr. Daystrom.
I like how you pull the background together for the ship and make it come alive just like a character. I think that is important; to me, the ship is an extension of the character in STO. I also have a detailed head cannon for my TOS Tellarite main character and his ship, a Gemini temporal Cruiser.
Pulling old Constitution parts together from the orbital salvage fleet and updating in a new design with enhanced technology is a good way to pull it all together to operate in 25th Century. Updating the deflector dish and incorporating some of the Constitution refit features make sense with the enhanced technology you put into the ship. Ship weaponry must give off quite a blast!
I had in mind the weapons going like in classic video game shooters.
