Mars, the Bringer of Disappointment

I just got finished playing the revamped Warzone arc, and I am absolutely crushed. Second Star to the Right was my favorite mission in the whole game (followed closely by the Ferengi mission). I could go back and replay it without getting tired of it. It was my example for how much fun this game could be when talking to non-players. That certainly isn't the case anymore.

They gutted the best parts (boarding the DeWitt and fighting up to the bridge, interrogating the captain, etc.) and then made the majority of the mission the far inferior Keep Your Enemies Closer. In addition, they added the terrible soundtrack from the Synthwave TFO, as insult to injury.

I was hoping for just a graphical upgrade, and instead I got this. I know they won't, but it would be nice if there were a way to go back and play the original.

I don't use the forums much (I'm not even certain this is the correct part of the forum for this) but on this I felt I had to speak up. I hope they fix this episode and bring back some of the fun. I do not have high hopes.

Agreed and not only that, they added the awful map from synthwave with a few more props sprinkled around. I loved the old shipyards, it was awesome and felt like you were actually attacking an important base. This is traveling several kilometres with nothing happening to shoot a few ships in scattered gantries over a vast empty map of nothingness.

I liked the revamp in that it did not require us to use a shuttle. I always found the shuttle mechanics in this game just awful. The Mars map seemed better put together. A Dreadnought warping in for the final fight. Was a nice touch. The torture of the Captain, yes they need to bring that back. Some day who knows when the Devs will stop bringing Human morality into klingon episodes.
