Played it as well. Loooong it is. Nice concept though.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.
Yah the timing could be tweeked...! last time I did this TFO, I got bored, parked my ship within the boundries of the space station, and went to make dinner. It was great, "Steak", yum yum. Came back and my toon was back at earth space dock.
That was something, thought it would never end. so i had dinner while it played out. LOL
what makes it worse are the stuck ships had a battleship get stuck under the upper half of the space station and the enemy ships could not hit it so it was just stuck there at 100% shields hull team had to quit
synthwave still bugged 1 transport ship still inactive mean mission does not progress untill it is destroyed but worst are battlecruisers ect get stuck under the upper half of the space station and the synths cant hit them meaning mission can not complete

I had both of those happen to me today. So much for the update fixing the TFO
I prefer playing the episode on different toon every day really. At least there the only prob I found is a boff getting stuck at a door, which is easy to solve by using the move command to 1-2 spots to get him passed through
The objectives will progress forward, regardless of how good or bad the players are at completing them. If this was reworked actually have objectives players need to complete to advance the TFO, I feel the experience would be a heck of a lot more fun. This TFO is a neat idea. Well executed too. But if you can complete something by AFKing your way through it and waiting for the clock to tick down, then whats the point of putting in your best effort?
I get that some folks want the optional objectives to get the per run mark rewards - but these can be gained much faster/easier by playing a random TFO. The event completion reward and the dil is probably the main draw. But again - you get these in equal amounts by either AFKing or trying your hardest.
Looking at my comments above, it would be real easy to jump to the conclusion that the devs should bse the event completion goodie reward, and the dil rewards that follow off of player participation - but thats not the point. The point is to get rid of the timer, and reward players for their skill by allowing them to progress the mission faster and faster and faster and faster. Make us feel good for kicking the TRIBBLE out of the bad guys you put in front of us
If I'm not mistaken, it's something like a 20 min TFO, sans bugs mentioned. Yeah, way too long... Definitely needs to have one of the phases removed...other than that, and the bugs, it's fine.
On the first day the team had to quit out as we had the same bugs. Due to the length of the mission I thought today that it was again bugged so just parked and let it run...and it finally completed. I like the TFO but it really could be shortened a bit.

It can help things along if players stop shooting at this point as the enemy ships can sometimes get at the cruiser from below.
Just stop and fly away, or die, or cloak for the sake of your teammates so the little enemy ships can do their thing and blow the cruiser up so that the TFO can complete.
I am doing the episode for the event, it's still long but not as long as the TFO and it's less buggy.
The last TFO they did ("Best Served Cold") was my least favorite of the event TFO's.. until this week. Overall, I like the design of this new one better then Best Served Cold, but the bugs push it soundly into last place.
Wow this TOF is way to long for it ending please shorten it.
Its perfect. There is far to much short content in the game, we don't need more of it. What we need is longer and harder content for a better balance of content. I would love to play this full length TFO on advanced or Elite. I wouldn't mind a shorter normal version and then this full length one for advanced+ as a compromise.
With it being so long I have managed to do all sorts of fun silly DPS figures like 450k raw tooltip weapon shots leading to effectively 2million DPS output from my ship. Loads of fun.
Next I am going to run a 500k DPS Transphasic 100% shield pen build for the fun of it. Something that can only be done in the long TFO's like this.

While I wouldn't mind seeing some longer, more involved STFs, Synthwave is ridiculously dull and a terrible candidate. Loads of useless trash enemies you can mostly ignore, never anything important or substantial to blow up.

I agree though I have been getting a lot of fun out of it by ignoring saving the people and pushing DPS numbers absurdly high from the none stop combat. It should have a lot of potential in an advanced or Elite version as long as the current one.
Though if I play it correctly it is one of the dullest TFO's.
Indeed, Synthwave is ridiculously dull and a terrible design. Because of those inescapable 'red beams of death', when the perimeter has collapsed, you spend like 20 minutes 'hiding' between the 2 layers of the station, not dying.
The only reason it's so absurdly long, is because of the full set of consoles as reward. But just making it last long is poor design, at best.
the TFO was horribly broken would not end syth wave... when it worked the interrupts whilst trying to beam crews up or over was flawed somewhat. becomes a nightmare of chaos. this diminished the experience a bit. like burgess the music's ok. found as the Buran our shuttles not so helpful.. our sister toon Scimitar scorpions were ok.. drops frames like Gallio experiments off the piza tower not as varied as the old SFO Borg ground planet invasion rescue as pugs go tryign to compliment as engineers was less rewarding.

I've been playing it. Fed ships get stuck inside the star base. To beat it you basically take a break after all the active transports leave. Then wait either dead or cloaked till the stuck ships die off. Had a whole TFO abandon the instance and I sat near the stuck ship pulling the NPCs in. They killed me, then the last fed ship stuck in the star base, and I got out while getting a sammich as they finished off the stuck ship. With a game this buggy, it's a wonder people keep buying ships and things.

Uhh what? Even when the defense perimeter has totally collapsed theres like a 15km radius around the station that is safe from the beams. You never have to hide between the layers to escape them, they never go in that far.
I know (the perimeter shows physically). But 15km is not a lot of room to maneuver in, with a big ship, trying to turn. And whether I hang between those layers, or a bit outside, the result remains the same: you essentially park, and then endlessly fire your weapons. Pretty boring.
Would have been much more exciting you could actually use Evasive Maneuvers, to outrun the red beam targeting.
But to slog through this 20 times for Mk XII VR? Should be UR. And get the reward in the Featured Episode, Mk XI Rare!! Not much of a feature.

If it have to be A LAST BATTLESHIP which do not move out in the last minute. The solution is that u all guy in tfo need to stop fire on enemy ,move your ship to get close to the stuck battleship and wait there. For a while your ship may be destroyed and you have to respawn and do the same , then enemy will start to shoot on the stuck ship. This will be fast if all of you 5 guy in that tfo do the same thing. For me , it will take more 5 minutes until the ***k ship be destroyed.

Bugs aside this is nothing but a long boring map standing on tasks we already did countless times over.
Aside from the visual artist who designed the background of the map I kinda wonder what everybody else in team was thinking while working on this.
Getting us to make use of the buy out option is the only thing that comes to mind. 😒
