Mine Rich Dilithium Crystals

First, let me forestall those who will want to jump in and tell me "you need a mining claim for that". No*. The mining claim is for the regular (non-fleet) dilithium mine. I am asking about the mission given to you by the Reman NPC "Miner Shift Manager" near the exit to surface of the FLEET Dilithium Mine.

Mine Pure Dilithium Crystals and Mine Impure Dilithium Crystals are easy. You go out through the force screen to the surface and mine 5 of each. The part that has me stumped is the top one in the SS above, Mine Rich Dilithium Crystals. It only asks you to mine one, and I can see the tribbling thing on my map, but it's like you can't get there from here.

In the process of searching for an answer, I discovered the Fleet Dil Mine has a second story, which I never knew before, but that second story seems to be completely decorative; there's nothing up there at all useful.

I have already wasted far more time looking for an answer to this than the mission could possibly be worth, but it has become a challenge, and I can never resist a challenge.

*for the record, I have a mining claim in my inventory, but there's no way to use it at the Fleet Mine.

    you drop down the big hole on the far right as you leave the base area it goes into a cave, the dil is on the far side of a gap.

    if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.

    OK, I found the answer. Persistence pays off.
    Go to the obvious Nav beacon furthest toward the objective and then look DOWN over the edge of the platform. You will see a series of semi-hidden nav beacons below you, and those will lead you through an underground tunnel to the objective.

    Even when you get to the end of the chain of underground nav beacons, you still have to do some tricky jumping to get close enough to the crystal to mine it. And I got only 384 ore after all that. Making your way back up the chain of nav beacons is also hard, because the path is so steeply vertical that the part you have to click on is often obscured by the platform, and if you have no line of sight, you cannot tab target it.

    Turning in the mish to the NPC yielded no additional reward at all. Lord have mercy, but this is a lot of work for a meagre reward.
