To avoid confusion and extremely irate customers if nothing else, when you sell a bundle it should include all of the various appearances of a given ship model. You shouldn't have to pay extra to add additional 3d models for the same dang ship. It makes you look like your pinching every penny as a company and forcing your players to pay for every little thing on top of everything else.
It also leads to a TON of lost revenue from folks like myself, who very much like the game and want to support it financially but honestly feel like we got ripped off. I bought the multi-mission ship bundle. And yes, full disclosure, I didn't spend days researching every single little nit-noid detail before I forked over roughly $100 of my money.
I found out after the fact that the ship designs I liked? The Rademaker I think it was called? Isn't included in a bundle I spent roughly $100. Oh no, for that I've got to fork over even more money AFTER I buy the bundle. Sorry but that is just completely ridiculous. If your going to do a bundle deal, then make it an actual bundle deal that includes everything for that design.
If you'd done that and asked for roughly $150 or so up front? Odds are good I would have paid it and been happy as a clam. But charge me $100 for a bundle and then I come to find out you withheld the best looking ship designs available and now you want me to pay an extra $50 for it? You have an irate customer who is seriously reconsidering ever giving you another dime of his money.
People are funny like that. I am certainly no exception. As it is I feel cheated, and it's certainly going to have a serious and long lasting effect on my purchasing decisions from here on out. This is a horrible practice folks. One you need to SERIOUSLY reconsider. A bundle should include everything available for the ship, and if you feel like that means you need to increase the bundle price do that.
For people that want to mix and match they can buy singles.. or maybe have a second tier between single and bundles that explains that it is a much more limited option. Either way your marketing on this, well no way to be diplomatic on this one, it's horrible. I think you'll find I'm not the only customer that has been seriously alienated by this.
