So apparently, when you play Battle Of Procyon V and you fly around the battle closing the portals, utilizing de-aggro abilities so you can complete the optional objective, the game punishes you at the end.
I guess because I didn't shoot at/destroy enough enemy ships, the game flagged me as AFK. Bad enough the game flags me with a quitting penalty when the game crashes during map transitions to TFOs, but this is ridiculous.
I'm putting this here because it doesn't feel like a bug, just bad game design.

You must cross a minimum damage threshold in any TFO regardless of how sub-optimal it makes playing it.
Yes, you have to do damage, if you got AFK'ed then you did almost none at all. There is combat after you close the portals so not sure what you were doing during that part.
Either way, sorry you're upset.. but best to just take a breath and remember for future runs.
There's plenty of things you can blame Cryptic for but the coding for the forums isn't one those things.
I've done that in an Intrepid. Mega well+TS2 gravimetric or emissions torpedo,+isokinetic cannon makes most things go BOOM really fast. and if they survived all that, and I have timed my spread cooldown right, as I fly past the TS2 Neutronics fly. and also the pathetic Beam Overload, pathetic since I have no power to weapons hardly at all
While I am all in favour of an anti-AFK system, I think the game needs another way of detecting AFKers.
I just got hit by an AFK penalty after helping to close the Elachi gate in one of the Red Alert missions, because I (and another player) spent time doing exactly that - closing the gate. Yes, my ship was not moving, and I didn't shoot anybody - mostly because the last battle group was obliterated before I could rush into the fight - but I was pressing buttons and working on the objective.
If I am able to help my team complete the mission faster, I don't think it's fair that I'm punished for this, even if it means I didn't shoot anybody.
I'd love to see a semi-troll official queue with that improved system where all weapons slots and cloak are disabled and you can only rely on consoles, non-cloak stealth abilities, other damaging abilities, traits, healers and tanks to complete objectives. And to make it worth your time, as an incentive, it gives like 5 times the normal amount of marks and dilithium than other queues.
...THEN THE WINGED HUSSARS ARRIVED!
