How do you break target lock if the HUD targets the wrong thing?

How do you break target lock. Playing the Delta Quadrant and HUD keeps targeting the Vaduuar energy anchors when I want to target ships. Also just had a mission where I'm supposed to target a specific ship and it targets the indestructible doomsday machine. Is there a way to target a specific ship or device?

Depends on what platform you are playing on.

To solve the constriction anchor problem, I suggest going into the options and toggle the "never target pets/small objects" option on.

If you click the joystick on empty space it will remove be any current targets. To target a specific ship click it once on the target and it will lock your camera on it (moving the joystick will cause the target lock to jump to next enemy target). If you click the thumbstick on the target again it will keep it targeted but free up the camera.

Takes some practice to get the right targets in a busy fight. Hope that helps.
