Immortal Engineer Build? (Ground)

OK, so a few weeks ago I made a thread called Immortal Space Brick, essentially asking for peoples opinions how to build the ultimate-unkillable ship for my permadeath character. The responses were fantastic and thanks to the advice many people gave me, I've got well into end-game alive, and can confidently queue most space TFOs. So thank you guys for that.

However...the ground side of things I feel a bit lacking, and so I'm not near as confident with that. So again, for an Engineer ground build, what would you recommend as being very survivable and self-sustaining? Suggestions for kits, traits, reputation sets are most welcome.

The only thing I've found so far that I love for survival is the universal kit Adapt. But I'm open to lots of suggestions.
