Right now my average sector speed on multiple characters (without Quantum Slipstream) is Warp 22 using the Assimilated Impulse Engines.
I'm looking at getting the Temporal Rep Warp Core for one of my alts which allows me a base speed of Warp 14. If I combined that Warp Core with either the Assimilated Impulse Engine or the MACO Impulse Engine would those speeds combine and allow me to go faster than Warp 22?
I'm not really sure how this works with combining Warp Core and Impulse Engine sector speed stats:
- If the speeds values are different does the higher speed just take precedent and the lower speed is dismissed?
- Will the speed values combine to grant a higher sector speed than either could achieve alone?
Thanks!

Well, that's not the only engine to get the SecSpd mods. The Counter-Command Engines get SecSpdX2. It just doesn't have the big numbers for speed in the engine itself. But will hit Transwarp 24.52 in sector space, 56.83 in slips stream.
If you pair this with a Risian Ship and the solar sails from the luxury liner, you can hold slipstream for 1 minute. If you pair this up with the Maquis Raider, you're slipstream time is extended to 2 minutes.
IIRC all engines get SecSpdx2, but MACO engines get SecSpd + SecSpdx2 mods.
That's why I said it didn't get the numbers. The Impulse bonus in the stats themselves. But as you can see from what you run, and what I run, it only makes a 0.8 difference in speed. So no real big loss with whatever impulse engines you use.
I use the Counter-Command because it has some pretty decent combat stats and mods. Paired with the deflector for the two piece. Thus, when I enter a combat map, or am about to, all I need to swap out is my warp core.
Though one can also add the Polaric Modulator, for a little more gogo juice.
