Time for change yet? to keep game alive.

Have you guys ever considered to let the modders do their job? Let's be honest...game is aging, character models, animations and textures are like hewn from wood. Low polygon models looks worse with every single year. Don't get me wrong this is great game and I love it, but if You guys simply have no time, money or will to make changes and revamp the game maybe other poeple would like to do it and for free, as they do in Conan Exiles for example. That would make the game live muuuuch longer and would give the players more joy and at the and could attract new ones to play what would be good for the developer also.

Obviously you haven't played the new episode. The game is being revamped continuously. And no, they won't ever open their code to modders.

Given they already shutdown The Foundry earlier this year in both STO and NW (which allowed players to create their own missions for anyone to play) - I seriously doubt they would go down the route of just opening the game up to Modders.

That ship has sailed and the last two years of this game have been STO's most profitable for Cryptic; so yeah, the game is doing well eough that they ain't going to rock the boat or open their game engine code up to outsiders.

This game is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Cryptic has plenty of time, money, and willingness to revamp the game. The game is constantly being improved. No, it's not going to be opened up to modders. /Thread
