Best Sing Core for Fed/KDF use...

tigerariestigeraries Member Posts: 3,492 Arc User
dont normally fly with Sing Cores but since you can use all ally ships, for the 3 pack ship bundles... I can just pick the Rom ship and have everyone fly it for the ship trait.

That being the case, I need a Sing Core...

Either a VR Mission Reward one or a UR Rep one. Could burn fleet marks and dil for a Fleet Sing Core but that seems wasteful. /shrug

Suggestions to use... this is for a ship that is only gonna be flown for Ship trait and then dismissed... well unless I later decide to just have all my toons fly a T6 Scimitar with UR Drone pet. =p

If you are just flying it long enough for the trait, I would simply buy a Mk XII from the exchange, or use one that came on an event ship, or get the CryoPlasma one from winter store maybe.

"Butterfly" gives the Temporal Phase Overcharged for a mission reward.

If you want a set bonus you could grab the Iconian or Temporal or pretty much any of the rep set ones I guess,

Provided you have the resources and are willing to go with reputation, I would add the Terran rep singularity core to the list. It might not be the perfect standalone core, but it does have the perk of increasing power levels the longer you remain in combat. Which is useful on a power starved warbird.

That is a good detail to remember about that Singularity Core for possibly many uses let alone for tigeraries' scenario.

Did they re-add Singularity Cores for Non-Romulans that I missed? They removed them for Non-Romulans way back to prevent confusion when Feds and KDF only had A-M ship availability, but at least initially forgot to re-add them when Romulan ships became all-faction.

If you're just flying it for the trait, the default white infinity one works just fine. I don't see much value in investing in a decent core if you're only after the trait.

Maybe you can consider crafting one so you have an account wide singularity core you can plop into your Romulan ships for trait grinds on any character.

I have rep marks to burn... also for zen ships I really like the Scim and UR Drone pet combo... think it's the best of the lot, unless you go Lobi or gamble box. B4 it was limited to Roms only... only thing holding me back is the power nerf, I dont ever use the sing core gimmick. Also some of my Fed/KDF already have Epic Fleet Cores.
