Fleet T6 Sovereign polaron build

sierra078sierra078 Member Posts: 335 Arc User
I have a T6 Sovereign polaron build using mostly reputation weapons.

Front: Temporal Defense array, Thoron Infused array, Lukari beam array, Neutronic torpedo
Aft: Kinetic cutting beam, Chronometric Omni, Crafted Polaron Omni, Thoron-infused quantum torpedo (which is a placeholder for the moment)

All Delta Rep space equipment

Consoles
Eng: Bellum Monotanium plating EP XV, Conductive RCS UR XV, Neutronium Alloy EP XV, Trellium-D Plating VR XV, Bio-Neural Circuitry UR XV
Sci: Exotic particle exciter UR XV, Bellum Field Generator E XV
Tac: Polaron field modulator EP XV, Chronometric Capacitor EP XV. Bellum Warhead Yield chamber EP XV.

Premise: Looking to increase damage and overall effectiveness. Seems to tank shots pretty well unless I don't pay attention. My thought was to throw on as many reputation consoles as I could especially for the two-piece sets and polaron damage bonuses. Would it be worth junking the Bellum consoles at Epic in favor of reputation consoles? Also for the aft torpedo I'm thinking the polaron energy torp, or would it be better to put that in the front and put the Neutronic in the back?

Notes: All my reputations are at T6 so I get the 2% damage boost.

First it would help to know which T6 Sov, and your BOFF setup. Ship traits would be useful to know to offer some suggestions too, though you may not have all the ones that get suggested. I'm also assuming no fleet gear since this isn't the fleet version of a ship, despite the title, because there are only 10 consoles listed.

Firstly of note is you're not running dual banks so you probably want to be broadsiding more, which means you may want to replace your cutting beam and aft torp with beam arrays. The ship does not have the turn rate to handle a forward build either with your console selection, just swing for a torpedo launch and back to broadsiding.

You have conductive RCS and the particle exciter consoles, but those can have any number of secondary mods. If you have them both with turn, for example, you could actually consider a forward build. If they are epg then you probably want to put them on a different ship unless you're really going for exotic damage in your build. What they have is useful to know to see what you're trying to focus on and whether they are useful for you. I'd suggest keeping your RCS whatever the mod is, the exciter can probably be replaced safely though.

The neutronic torpedo can be fun, in my opinion, but I think it is more suited to an escort or science ship that can do a good grav well and torpedo spread with it. The chronometric set probably doesn't do a whole lot for you either. Instead you consider replacing all those things with the entire morphogenic set from "Home" the last mission in the gamma quadrant storyline. The console is a bit meh, but the 3 piece bonus is what you're after.

Your other engineering consoles are quite focused on resistance. You probably don't really want all of them. I like the Trellium d myself, as it offers a lot of buffs, even if the resistance isn't as good as neutronium, so maybe keep that.
The bio neural circuitry is a nice little console, but it is something you can swap out too, especially if you are getting rid of the neutronic torpedo.

The Disco bellum consoles are okay if you have no better source of crit chance, however you do. Lorca's fire control console of the Disco rep set is definitely worth slotting over your warhead chamber console. The armor console can possibly be replaced, but if you want to chase crit chance it can stay, though I might prefer a bellum RCS myself.

The Lukari rep console is a must, I imagine you overlooked that, but you don't get a better console for polaron or plasma builds. The temporal rep console you should probably also fit in there since you're already using the beam.

The Romulan rep console is nice if you have room, especially if you want more crit chance somewhere. The House Martok console from "Brushfire" is also very nice to consider for a bunch of buffs if you want some broad improvements, and no you wouldn't use anything else from that set. The Borg rep console is another one to consider, especially if you decide to keep the cutting beam. The satellite defense turret, if you have it from the event earlier last year, is also worth considering for some weapon power help if you have a 7 beam ship.

For your space set, Delta doesn't seem to be that helpful as sets go when you want more damage. Now, you have some options, for one, if you get rid of your armor consoles and find you're a little squishy or just want to get that armor back, two piece sol defense from "Midnight" is highly worth considering, but you'd need to pick a second set with a warp core you like. The quantum phase set from "Stormbound" is also interesting for a 2 piece selection for shields and whichever part is better for you, but obviously needs another set with warp core. The full Disco rep set is an interesting set for cruisers if you want to push your max hull high with more consoles, traits, and the like, or it can be useful as 2 piece too. Another 2 piece to consider is the Undine rep engines for defense and inertia and the deflector which is one of the only that directly improve DPS (but not much.) Finally, the full Iconian rep set is always a very good choice, especially if you want to focus on DPS improvements.

This is just a quick something I threw together as a low budget Polaron Build.

    Polaron Sovereign Draft 1.

It doesn't use anything from lock boxes, lobi, or event ships because I have no idea what you have access too. If you have access to things like the D.O.M.I.N.O. console, the Lukari Protomater Console, then of course work those in instead. The first consoles I would replace in this build are the RCS console and the Neutronic Alloy console.

It's an Aux2Bat build, it requires 3 Technicians on your roster. You can use green or blue rarity to start and then later farm B'Tran Cluster for Very Rare or just buy them from the exchange if you like the build. I recommend using Blues to test the build..they're cheap and will let you get a good feel for how A2B works. If you don't know how A2B builds work, please let me know and I will elaborate.

Traits.. again.. no idea what you have so I just filled in some 'ideal' choices. Substitute the best you have available.

The empty device slot, I recommend the Kobyashi Maru console.. it's not listed in the template. I left the skills blank, if you need an idea how to distribute those points, let me know and I can work something up.. my template is not good for those that use torpedoes.

This is just a rough idea to get you started, but this build should easily handle any Advanced Queues the game can throw at you.
    Insert witty signature line here.
